Home Chapter 14

Roses are red

"Are we ever going to move." Ivy finally whispered.

"I can't." Pilar replied. "This can't be real."

"You're right, i-it couldn't be." Ivy straightened herself out.

"Why couldn't it be?"

"Because..." she pondered the thought momentarily beore sighing, "she's gone Pilar."

"What?"

"She's just gone. No offense, I know you want to see her, but there are billions of people across the planet. I highly dougbt you'll ever see your girl ever again. I'm really so-" she was cut off by the woman to her right.

"I understand. It was my decision. I gave her up, I didn't have to but I did."

"Yes, yes you did. You never knew. You didn't have the strength nor the capabilties to raise another one. It was a hard time in your life. I understand."

"Then why didn't I ever give up Miguel? I still raised him. I still had the time. Why can't I just find my baby?" tears started to flow freely down her cheeks from her slready swolen eyes.

A moment of silence passed over the two before Ivy spoke once again.

"We cannot go one day in this town where something big doesn't happen can we?"

Violets are blue

He wanted to know.

Every aspect involving the woman who strutted into his life with her clicking high heels and guarded brown eyes.

He really never liked the name Lisa, but he let it slide this once.

Apparently it was always the person on the inside that mattered.

He wanted to know her.

He wanted to tell the infamous story of how he met his...wife so many years ago at cocktail parties.

How she threw a cell phone outside a window.

How he was knocked unconcious.

How she came to visit him.

How whatever is going to happen next will happen.

Wait a minute, wife?

That was a little too far for him to think ahead.

Girlfriend was comfortable enough for him at the present.

Wife, even fiancee was way too much for him to handle.

I dont't remember this line

He silently moved a strand of hair behind her ear, revealing her delicate face.

'I've seen better.' the man thought to himself while stroking her arm.

The girl had been out cold for a grand total of 3 hours 47 minutes and 47 seconds.

He basically got paid to do nothing.

3 hours 47 minutes and 50 seconds.

But this wasn't all that bad, although there were so many more things he'd rather do with this girl that didn't involve him being about a foot away from her.

Whoever her was.

They just gave him random assignments, which meant get up at 1 to come into work to do something really dangerous or just a waste of time.

But it really didn't matter, she was hot.

So he just watched.

It's not like there was anything else to do.

3 hours 48 minutes and 3 seconds.

But I know this one ends with I love you

People were staring at the lights.

Why would they do that. Lights hurt eyes.

She never liked stares.

She didn't like having all eyes on her, but whatever it took to make Sarah happy.

She kept saying the words to herself.

Over an over she tried to remember what she somehow came up with.

Why couldn't this school just hold plays. Like Romona's.

At least then I would just have to be a tree and stand there.

Not memorize a whole big poem.

She kept reciting the words constantally on the sheet of paper before her.

"And next up is Theresa Hackelbear!" the announcer proclaimed.

'I want a different last name!' her mind protested as she walked out on stage.

Now they were staring at her, and the lights were blinding her.

She opened her mouth, immeditally forgetting her whole complex poem.

She actually couldn't remember any.

Only three lines of one of her old favorites.

So she just started that one.

"Roses are red." she spoke while spotting her very best friend in the back. A smile started to form on her lips, although she was embarssing herself.

"Violets are blue." her mind went blank.

'What is it!' her mind screamed as words started coming out of her mouth once again, and she was powerless to stop them.

"I don't remember this line."

'Oh god! Now their all laughing at me.'

"But I know this one ends with I love you." she finished while waiting a second before running off stage.
