![]() A New Beginning Chapter 2
![]() Brady walked into the quiet ski lodge.
It was the only place open right now.
Not that it wasn't late, it was just that every where else was closed.
He walked up to the recepionsist.
She was a cute blonde.
Around 20 he would guess.
But she wasn't anything special.
Chole was special.
He noticed she fixed her hair as he approached.
It meant nothing anymore.
It never really meant anyhting before.
He was cursed with his looks.
Women constantally threw themselves to him.
It was pafthiec.
But they did.
And he was now use to it.
"Hello how may I help you?" the blonde asked while putting down a mirror.
"I need a room." Brady casually replied.
"For how long exactly?" she asked.
"About a week. Give or take a few days." he noticed her staring at him and smiling.
"Just a minute." She looked down at her computer scanning for openings.
"Lucky for you we have one room left for 8 days. How long do you want it?" she asked.
"I'll take the eight days." Brady handed her a credit card.
As he waited her noticed a goregues brunette, carrying two skis, walk through the door.
'Oh God she's coming this way.' Brady's thoughts scattered.
He had never acted this way around a girl before.
"Hey Alyise." she called over in his direction.
Brady looked behind him and noticed the blonde wave back at her.
Then he immeditally looked back at the brunette.
She was coming closer.
"Hey Theresa." thr blonde called out while trying to hand Brady his credit card.
"Mr. Black, your card." Alyse pratically hit him with it.
Brady took his concetration off of the brunette coming towards him and grabbed the card.
He had to get away.
Not even Chole ever made him feel that way before.
He immeditally grabbed his bag, took his hotel keys, and jetted off before she could talk to him.

"Who's that?" Theresa asked Alyese
"Just checked in. Brady Black." Alyese responded.
"Nice name." Theresa didn't know what else to say.
"I think he was checking you out earlier." Alyese winked at her friend.
"I'm not looking for a boyfriend." Theresa sternly replied.
"Theresa since you moved here, you have not once gone out with one guy, even though the only reason half the guys you teach already know how to snowboard." Alyese gave her a reality check.
"It doesn't mean I want a boyfriend." Theresa looked towards the ground.
"Somebody must have really hurt you." Alyese muttered under her breath.
"I'm going home, do you want a ride back." Theresa changed the subject.
"I gotta wait for Jerry to take over." Alyese looked so tired.
Theresa knew Alyese was only a senior in high school, even though she was only a year older herself, but she didn't have school tomorrow.
"Alyese take my car, I'll take over." Theresa smiled.
"How will you get home?" Alyese asked.
"I'll call a cab or something." Theresa was still grinning.
"I normally wouldn't take up your offer, but I have a ton of homework tonight, and everything I need is at home." Alyese grabbed Theresa's keys and her jacket.
"It's no big deal." Theresa got behind the desk.
"Buhbye." she said while walking out the door.
"Bye." Theresa was left there all alone to think of Brady Black.

"How did I not see it before?" Belle asked herself outloud as she cried.
"How did you not see what?" Sami walked in.
Sami never liked Brady.
Like anything.
She couldn't say anything.
"Nothing." Belle was a terrible liar.
"You're lying." Sami called her.
"No I'm not." Belle tried to hide her face.
"Yes you are. You always were a bad liar." Sami stated.
"Well you would never care. You never did." Belle started to sob.
"Belle, what's wrong?" Sami was truly concerned for her half sister.
"I told you. You won't care." Belle's tears strated to dry away.
"I will always care about you." Sami reassured her.
"It's not about me Sami." Belle looked her straight in the eye.
"What's going on Belle?"
"I told you. You wouldn't care." Belle got up and walked away.
