Unknown Passions: Fan Fiction
![]() The Jungle Gym Complete Story
![]() Theresa sat there, in her special spot, looking up at the stars.
Thoughts about the days events filled her mind.
Somehow life always lead her here.
Ever since her Papa left she had retreated to this spot, at least once a week, for comfort.
Her family never knew she came here.
They always assumed she was out, at the Russell's, shopping, or anything else.
They never guessed she would be sitting on top of the monkey bars, in the park.
The same place she sprained her ankle when she was only 8, and where she had her first kiss.
She loved this spot.
She did and thought of everything here.
Everytime she came to this spot she was inspired. It was a muse.
Her best designs were created in this one spot. She guessed it had something to do with the open night air.
Out on the jungle gym everything was so clear.
Unlike the thing known as life.
Life was a blur.
It always had been since age 5.
That wasn't a good year.
It was the first year she went to school.
It was the first year without a father.
Without a brother.
Without a sister.
It was the worst year of her life.
Even 13 was better than 5.
~~~~~~
No student in the history of school has ever actually listened to the teacher.
And today was just as true for Theresa as she lazily sat in English.
Today was twice as boring as all the other days.
Then to top it all off the teacher announced an assignment.
“Class you are going to write a paper on anything.” The words came out of the teachers mouth.
The class was a little shocked.
“Before you say anything, there are regulations.” He announced.
The class just went back to normal.
“It MUST be in English and it MUST be 5 pages typed.” The teacher told the class.
The teacher paused
“It is due tomorrow.” The teacher said, and then the bell rang.
Theresa raced out the door to meet her friends for lunch, completely forgetting about her assignment.
~~~~~~~~~~
Finally the busiest day of her life had basically ended.
First came vocal lessons for about 2 hours, where she basically lost her voice. Then she got the grand opportunity to work, yet again, on a 4 hour shift, on the one day the entire town of Harmony, and all of the surrounding towns decided to go shopping. Finally she still had the wonderful task of completing the task of at least an hour of homework, Including the English assignment.
That left her with around 8 more hours until school was to start again.
Screw sleeping. It's not that necessary.
Theresa pulled out her laptop, and did nothing.
Her mind betrayed her, and allowed her no inspiration what so ever at all.
Then she heard a knock on the door.
“Hey sis.” Miguel popped his head in her room.
“Come on in.” Theresa said in a dismal tone
“What's wrong T?” Miguel asked in a concerned voice.
“I have a report due tomorrow, and I have no clue what to write about.” Theresa told him.
“The one about anything?” he questioned in a surprised tone, knowing writing was her best subject.
“Then what should I write about?” Theresa looked at him.
“How great your little brother is.” He responded proudly.
Theresa smiled, and threw a pillow at him.
“Seriously.” She replied.
“Why don't you go out, and find inspiration or something.” Miguel said in a more serious tone.
“Thanks Miguel.” Theresa said while running out of her room, with her laptop.
“OK.” Miguel said in a slightly freaked out voice.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Theresa finally made her way to the park, and looked at the, oh so familiar stars.
So many times she just passed by the objects in the sky, completely ignoring their beauty.
They had given her so much inspiration before.
And now she hoped they would again.
Theresa started to come up with memories.
Then she began to type.
She typed about her place.
She typed about her least favorite age.
She typed about her emotions, feelings, thoughts, and fears.
She typed about her life.
Her screwed up, demented life, that she would never understand.
