Unknown Passions: Fan Fiction
Fox to the Rescue
Fox was standing behind a wall, listening around the corner to what was going on at the door that led to Gwen and Ethan's suite.
"What are you doing here Theresa?" Ethan was demanding.
"I-I..."
"You never give up, do you Theresa?" Gwen scolded. "First you get PREGNANT by him, thinking that would take him away from me, and now you-"
"IT WASN'T LIKE THAT!" Theresa retaliated. "He loved me! I know he did! I don't know how you made him turn against me, but I know he loved-and still loves me! Don't you Ethan?"
"You know what you did Theresa! I saw the proof. I loved you once, but no longer!"
"Hold it! Hold it!" A crewman had just walked down towards the door, noticing the fight. "Fighting in these halls will not be tolerated. What seems to be the trouble?"
"Well, umm," Ethan stammered.
"She tried to break into our room. that's what! The low life theif! We caught her lying at the floor near the door." Gwen replied, satisfiedly.
"Is this true, Mrs. Crane?" The crewman asked. "Is it true that you did this? That you broke in attempting to rob their room?"
"NO! You don't understand! That's not how it was!" Theresa cried.
Suddenly, Fox sprang out from behind the wall.
"IT WASN'T HER FAULT! I was running-trying to get down the hall and I accidently tripped her and she fell into that door!"
Theresa looked up, it was Fox. "Why is he doing this for me?" She thought.
"Theresa...Is this true?" Ethan asked.
"OF COURSE IT'S NOT!" Screamed Gwen, outraged. "She wanted to break into our room, probably another scheme to get you back!"
Ethan looked from Gwen, then to Theresa, and then behind the crewman towards the man who had just jumped out from behind the wall.
"Take off your derby..." Ethan said, looking awkwardly at Fox.
"N-No." Fox said, struggling to hide his face from Ethan.
"Fine. It's not possible anyway," Ethan said, turning back towards Theresa.
"Is this man telling the truth Theresa? Is what he says true?"
Theresa gazed into Ethan's eyes, then looked towards Fox, who gave her a nodding look that meant, "Say yes!"
"Yes, Ethan. It's the truth."
"Very well then." Said the crewman, walking off. "By the way, you look kind of ragged for a first class passenger, don't you?" He said, passing Fox.
"Ethan, can you go get my things now, please?" Gwen asked.
"Yes darling, just a minute." Ethan walked into the stateroom.
"I don't know how you got him to lie for you Theresa, but I'm on to you." Said Gwen, walking off.
"Thank you!" Theresa whispered to Fox, walking back to her stateroom.
