The World Ahead
"One more place I want to show you..." Fox said, walking Theresa down a set of stairs and walking along the deck.
"Where?" Theresa asked.
"You'll see." Fox replied, scurrying her on.
After a few minutes of walking, they arrived at the very front of the ship, the bow, where they headed over to.
"Why are we..." Theresa started to ask.
"Shh." Fox shushed her. "We're not supposed to be here."
"Oh now get me into trouble." Theresa laughed, removing a hanging piece of hair from her face.
The sun was now setting, casting the ocean into a shade of orange, the waves lapping one another as the sun set on this clear day.
"Look." Said Fox, pointing straight ahead. "Feels like we're on the top of the world from here."
"It's beautiful." Theresa answered, looking onto the horizon.
"Just like...you." Fox said, this time looking at Theresa with a look of compassion on his face.
"I've only known you a few days..." Theresa said. "Yet...suddenly I don't feel the need to be with Ethan anymore..."
"Who do you want to be with then?" Fox grinned.
"Someone...like...you." Theresa smiled, looking at him.
"Do you want to be with me Theresa?"
The ship was now sailing into the horizon, towards the beautiful sunset. As Fox and Theresa stood at the bow.
"I...do." Theresa answered, the wind sweeping her hair.
"Then..." Fox began, but suddenly, he felt himself being drawn into a kiss by her, as they stood on the ship's bow, kissing. The sun behind them, the world ahead of them.
