Unknown Passions: Fan Fiction

The Chosen One Chapter 5

Theresa walked down the steps, this time antipacting another steak.

“What no surprise.” She put her bag down without looking up.

“What surprise?” a younger and better-looking guy put down a book.

Theresa just stood there.

He was so hot.

“Giles had a watchers thing to take care of.” The guy broke the silence.

“Like what?” she asked.

“Probably protecting you.” He came towards her.

“Who are you?” Theresa had to find out his name.

“Xandar, and you must be Theresa.” He smiled.

`O God he has a beautiful smile.' Theresa thought.

“Yeah that's me.” She smiled up at him.

This guy was definitely collage level.

“Nice to meet the next one.” Xandar looked down.

“Well I have to get out of here early, so how bout we get down to work.” Theresa started.

“I'll go start some research, while you go hit the punching bag.” He went towards the library section.

“Why are you people always reading?” Theresa asked.

“It's good to know who you fight, before you fight it.” Xandar said softly.

“How long have you been doing this?” Theresa got curious.

“About five years now.” Xandar told her.

“So this won't be that hard?” Theresa questioned.

“It's brutal. The doctors and I are on a first name basis now.” Xanadar replied.

Theresa gave a small laugh. This guy was so much better than Giles.

“Makes me feel good.” Theresa gave the punching bag a high kick.

“Don't worry, I'm a normal person. You have some super human strength or something.” Xandar reassured her.

There was a moment of silence.

“So who Giles told me to do some research on the witch in this town.” Xandar gave her a clue.

“He won't tell me who she is.” Theresa cointuned to punch the bag in front of her.

“Who in this town is completely crazy and secretive?” he asked.

“What does that have to do with anything?” Theresa questioned.

“You're the slayer, you're already supposed to know who is evil. It's in your blood.” Xandar put down his book.

“That's a new one.” Theresa shot back.

“Well you are.” Xandar was getting apprehensive.

“Look I'm sorry I can't measure up to your precious last slayer.” Theresa turned around.

“Don't talk about Buffy.” Xandar warned.

“Look, I had a life before all of this happened. And I don't even know what I'm doing here.” Theresa came to a realization.

“Why should I believe all of you? You're just pulling a prank on me. Let me guess I've been X'ed.” She started to yell.

“Theresa this isn't a game.” Xandar came up to her.

“Yeah right.” Theresa grabbed her gym bag, and ran outside.

“You're making a mistake Theresa.” Xandar yelled out, but she never heard.
