Unknown Passions: Fan Fiction

Camp Calloway Chapter 1

Theresa slowly arose.

Not even early enough to be greeted by the sun.

It was dark, and it was still morning.

The dew still covered the ground.

And the people had not awoken yet.

Or at least most people.

She rarely got up this early, but this was required of her today.

She had to go work.

She finally found a decent job in Harmony suited for her.

Or actually outside of Harmony.

A camp counsler.

It was the perfect excuse to get away and please Luis.

The only regret was that she would leave Whitney behind.

But Whitney would be too busy to notice she was gone.

She was busy teaching rich snobs how to play tennis.

Theresa slipped into her counsler shirt, and a pair of jean shorts.

After putting her hair up into a ponytail, she grabbed her bag, and headed towards the kitchen.

Only Mama was awake right now.

Luis and Miguel were still sound asleep one level above her.

"Mija, I trust you are ready." Pilar sated while sitting down at the kitchen table.

"Si, Mama." Theresa tried to use some Spanish in her vocublary.

"Here you need breakfast." Pilar handed her a plate of pancakes.

"I think I'll just grab some coffee and a bagel at the Book Cafe." Theresa responded.

"Mija, you need a good breakfast. Now eat." Pilar had recently started her new process of tough love.

"Mama, I really just want a bagel." she replied.

"Nonsense. No daughter of mine is leaving without a full stomach. Now eat." Pilar demendad.

Theresa picked up the fork and started to eat without a word.

"There, now that's better." Pilar stated while looking down at her eldest daughter.

"Well this is it." Theresa spoke to herself.

All she had to do was wait for the bus that was due any minute now.

Luis was at work.

Miguel had summer school.

Mama had work.

"What's it?"a voice came from behind.

"Whit." Theresa screamed while running up to her best friend.

"Why did you just leave. I saw your Mom on the way to work this morning, and she told me you were here." Whitney pulled out of their embrace.

"You have work to do Whit. I didn't want to stop you." Theresa stated.

"Well I don't care. I'm going to miss you so much sweetie. Our first summer apart." Whitney started to show the classis signs of crying.

"Whit I need to get away from Harmony. And I might as well as make some money doing it." Theresa tried to smile, but in reality she was about to bawl.

"But Theresa you were never really into the camping thing." Whitney attemped to get her best friend to stay.

"Whitney, I grew up with Luis and Miguel. When I was a kid they would stuff dirt, rocks, worms, almost anything in my mouth. I think I can handle a few nights out in the woods." the brown eyed girl relived terrible memories.

"True, but...but, I can't think of anything else to say expect good luck, and I'll miss you." Whitney embraced her friend once more as the bus approached.

"I'll miss you too." Theresa picked up her bags and stood up infront of the bus that had just pulled up.

Whitney watched as the doors opened, and Theresa walked away.

From everyone else in Harmony for an entire summer.

A summer she would most likely never forget.

Ethan cointuned to go through all the Crane land.

They had so much.

Yet so little was used.

There were some houses in New York, LA, Paris, Milan, even Toyoko.

He cointuned to flip through the documents.

He would eventually call this work when Gwen questioned where he was.

His girlfriend was so possesive.

Apparently the Crane's owned businesses, estates, parks, and...camps.

Why would the Crane's own a camp.

It made little money, and had no use.

Just then he heard the tunes of some old singer being hummed.

Ethan immeditally got up to see his father.

"Father." a well mannored Ethan approached the old man.

"Yes Ethan my boy." A very recently 'pleasured' Julian answerd his sons calling.

"Why do we own a camp?" Ethan asked.

"Ah yes, Camp Calloway. Apparently it improves our image." Julian stated with a slight chuckle.

"How?" Ethan questioned the thought of that.

"Don't ask me. Your mother had the idea and father, your grandfater, went along with it. Apparently it shows we support children or something." Julian concluded.

"Thank you for your time father." Ethan stepped out of the mans way.

"No problem." he passed by starting to hum that same old song again.

Ethan returned to his room and cointuned to think of the camp.

What was it like at a camp?

To be with people your own age.

And they wouldn't care about the last name.

To do activties a normal child was able to do.

But he never got that.

Just then the perfect idea popped into his head.

And an added bonus happened to be time away from his girlfriend.
