Camp Calloway Chapter 2

I know this is a short chapter, but I'm going to build off of this, so expect the rest of the chapters (or most) to be much longer.

"Hello, you must be Theresa. My name is Anne." a hyperactive lady greeted her as she walked off the bus.

"Hi." was all Theresa could imagine to get out before the lady began to speak again.

"The campers will not be here until next week. You have cabin 6 which is mailny 13 year olds. Considering you're new I'll give you a quick tour around after you put your stuff up at the cabin. upside to being a counsler is you get first bed choice." she rambled on.

Theresa just stood there with a confused look on her face, waiting for Anne to breath.

"Go get your bags, and let me show you your cabin." Anne finally stopped.

Theresa just picked up her luggage and reported to Anne.

Just then she took off in speed walking motion toward cabin 6.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I know the condition of the cabins aren't the best, but you have to make due." Anne stated at a shocked Theresa.
This cabin was in terrible shape. If she knew better termites were probably having a feast.
Anne noticed the look on Theresa's face.
"Look Theresa." he voice slowed down. "This camp is funded by the Crane's, considering they rarely ever fund this camp, unless there is publicity, we have to make due." Anne told her.
"Wait. Did you say the Crane's?" Theresa asked.
"Yeah why?"
"My family is close to theirs. I could probably pull some strings." Theresa smiled at herself.
"You know the Crane's personally?" Anne was know the shocke done.
"Not me personally, but my Mama and brother do. We have very close ties to their family. Mama is close friends with Mrs. Crane." Theresa stated unsure of herself.
"You don't have to. We make due here." Anne watched as Theresa anchored her stuff onto the hard bunk bed.
"Are you sure?" the young girl asked.
"Yeah. We're fine with all we have."  Anne reassured her.
"OK. When do I get a tour of this place?" she asked.
"I forgot. You'e never been here before. Of coarse. This way." Anne once again took off, leaving Theresa to race after her.
"Father." Ethan knocked on the door to his father's office.
"Yes." he looked up from his work.
"That place you were talking about earlier, I have a proposition for you." Ethan started.
"Well speak up boy."
"I visit to see if it is worth the Crane money."
Julian looked straight in to Ethan's eyes noticing a sense of urgency.
"Let me guess, you want to get away from Gwen for a while." Julian stated already knowing the answer.
"Good guess."
"Of coarse my boy. But do keep in mind, I truly have no idea when we last gave them money. The only reason we hold on to that thing is tax deductions." Julian snickered.
"Everyone hates the government father." Ethan replied.
"But not everyone hates the law son." Julian said just as Ethan rose to walk out.
"What was that?" he didn't catch the last sentence.
"Nothing. I'll see you in two weeks." Julian said knowing Ethan would want to get away from his over controlling girlfriend much sooner than later.
Theresa noticed as Anne's stone cold face turned to a look of shock after hearing the radio.
"What is it?"
"Mr. Crane is coming down here for inspection." Anne said in a worried tone.
Theresa's face turned from confusion to shock.
"Which Mr. Crane?" she asked knowing the warnings Mama had given her from both.
"I'm not sure which one. I just know that one of them is coming here."
Taking off away from the woods, towards the camp, Ane started to get back in to her fast pace and mumbling once again.
Theresa, not knowing where she was, immeditally followed once more, attempting to keep up with the upthight worker.
