Unknown Passions: Fan Fiction

Camp Calloway Chapter 3

Ethan looked out towards the wreck of a camp.

Was this really Crane property?

This excuse for land.

There could be another factory here helping the economy, but no.

It was some beaten down cabins with a forest in back.

He hadn't even been around conditions like this in his life.

He should have taken his father's warning, but then again he was away from Gwen.

For two weeks to be exact.

He would most likely give a speech here, look around, and then leave and stay at the Ritz.

Or the Westin.

Whichever he was in the mood for tonight.

Just then a lady in a pair of green, baggy shorts that reached her knees and a white polo shirt walked up to him with a disbelieving look on her face.

"Mr. C-Crane?" she stuttered.

"Yes." Ethan firmly replied.

"It's nice to meet you." she stuck out her hand, but Ethan just continued to stand there.

'There is no way I am even coming close to all that dirt.' he looked down at her hand while making a repulsed look on his face.

She pulled her hand back in a defeated way, and went on.

"My name is Anne Timmerman, I will be giving you a tour of this fine estliabishment." she attempted to look professional.

'I've seen better Motel 6's than this.' Ethan almost laughed at her fine establishment comment.

Theresa walked in to her cabin, and immediately noticed 2 suitcases laying on the bed next to hers.

"Hi." a figure came towards her unexpectedly.

"Umm.umm." Theresa couldn't exactly find words.

"I'm Chrissy, and you must be Theresa." the blonde smiled.

"Yeah that's me. Um, I didn't know we were having two counselors in one cabin."

"Yeah. I'm assuming this is your first year coming here." the blonde replied.

"Yeah."

"So where are you from?"

"Up North." she simply replied.

"Where exactly?"

"A small town in Maine."

"Kool. I come from the South."

"I can tell by the accent." Theresa smiled as Chrissy laughed.

"A few weeks down in Alabama, and you would sound just like me, so don't mock." she went on.

"Alabama?" Theresa asked.

"Yeah. Another small town. Hoover to be exact, It's around Birmingham." she beamed at the sound of this place called Hoover.

"Sounds nice." Theresa said.

"It's too small town for me. I can't wait to get away from there."

"I don't know if I could leave my family for more that a few months." Theresa said.

"Why?"

"Between my Mother and older brothers constant power struggle, I think I need to protect my little brother." Theresa said.

"Don't you have a Dad?" Chrissy questioned.

"He went missing when I was a child." she mumbled.

Chrissy didn't get what she said, but knew this must be a touchy subject, so she immediately backed off.

"So have you gotten a tour yet?" she changed the subject.

"Yeah. Anne insisted." Theresa plopped down on to the bed.

"Oh. So you've met Anne?" Chrissy smiled.

"Yeah. She drinks a lot of coffee doesn't she?" Theresa noticed Chrissy burst out with laughter.

"No, but she's a lot worse when she does have the stuff."

"Sounds nice and peaceful." she sarcastically stated.

"So very much. So are you ready to face teenagers?" Chrissy asked.

"As long as I can think of the green at the end of this yellow brick road I will be."

"Same here. Come on. I wanna show you something." Chrissy led Theresa outdoors.

Theresa just followed wondering exactly where she was being led to.

"Wait here." the blonde went around back to go do something, leaving Theresa out on the porch that towered above the camp.

Just then she looked down, and noticed a man staring at her, looking in to her eyes with a mesmerized look on his face.

Slowly glancing at his features, she automatically knew who it was.

Ethan Crane.

The one her Mother had helped to raise in to the 'oh so perfect gentlemen.' she heard about today.

If your definition of gentleman was sleeping with one girl a night.

Each different people.

Just then she was brought back to reality by the sound of Chrissy's voice who had something in her head, and was ready to do something.

Noticing that Mr. Crane was now gone, Theresa followed Chrissy to her destination.

Ethan felt his heart stop as he continued to glance over at her.

The gorgeous brunette looking out, not yet noticing his roaming eye.

He would have stayed longer if it wasn't for Anne rushing him from one location to another.

Hell, he would have ran to that girl and kissed her if he had no self control.

Just then he noticed her soulful brown eyes lock straight on his.

They looked so young.

So pure.

So virgin like.

He liked that word.

Virgin.

It reminded him of the year at boarding school where his friends and him had held a minor wager.

If the definition of minor meant a new car.

It was to see how many virgins he could lay.

It was the first car he had ever earned.

It was also the last.

He never really had to earn anything in his life so far.

He never had the need.

Whatever he wanted was put in front of him.

All expect the girl that stood on the porch above him.

And he would have her eventually.

Now he had a reason to want to stay here.

"Mr. Crane?" a voice from in front of him interrupted his thoughts.

"Yes." his firm business tone took over.

"This way." the one known as Anne led him down the dirt path.

Ethan silently followed her pretending to care, with images of the girl haunting his mind.
