Unknown Passions: Fan Fiction

Home Chapter 13

"You don't look like a Lisa."

"You've seen me for a grand total of 10 seconds, how would you know whether or not what my name is or should be."

"Then you don't seem like a Lisa." he commented.

"You know I am a person under the name." Theresa calmly stated.

"Sorry about that. Everythings a little weird right now."

"I assume it would be."

"Most people wouldn't come to see me. Espically if they injured a Crane."

"I'm a brave person."

'No you're not!' her mind screamed.

Remember when you once dreamed of prince charming.

Naive little girl.

5 years old. Walking home alone. 10 at night.

Not so naive now are you.

"It doesn't seem like a lie."

"Are you alright?" she attempted to show no compassion.

"I'll be okay." he paused for a brief moment, "Why do you care?"

"No offense, you seem like a nice person, but I can't say it's because I care about you. it's just that I don't know you, and that would be complete bull."

"So?"

"I have my personal reasons."

"Fair enough." his voice crackled somewhat.

"Is your voice alright?" concern once again took over.

"It's still a little thought to speak." it somewhat scratched again.

"I really am sorry."

"You told me that already."

"I know, but it's true. Anyway I can't imagine how that would affect your voice."

"Neither can I. Never been a doctor." he chuckled slightly.

Theresa, or Lisa, just stared at him with a questioning look on her face.

"Give me a break, my sense of humor is also wacked right now."

"That wasn't really a joke moment." she retorted, as she noticed he was starting to look in her eyes.

Immeditally responding Theresa looked all across the room, not staying on one spot for any longer than around two seconds.

"Timing is everything." he finally admitted.

"I never really understood that comment."

"It's not very much to understand."

"Well, it takes so much more than timing to make something happen. Why does it all have to be detirmined by time."

"No offense, that's a great argument, but I'm really not in the shape for debate club right now." a smile curved on the corners of his lips, as he noticed her face mirroring his own.

"Well uh...I have to leave." Theresa started to walk away.

"Bye Lisa." Ethan's smile broadened.

"Yeah, Lisa." Theresa dismally remembered the fake name she came up with.

'Why didn't I just tell him the truth!' her mind lectured as she shut the door, without a look back.

"Hello Eric." a voice came as the businessman picked up the phone.

"Richard." he corrected the annoying englishman.

"Whichever. I'm intrested to know why it is exactly you're intrested in this Theresa Johnson," Sark stated calmly while glancing over her profile from his private jet.

"Why is none of your concern. I'm paying you to do a job. I'd like it done."

"When did we ever discuss pay?" he commented with a chuckle. He loved 'discussing' pay.

"Right now I presume."

"Actually I perfer in person. It's so much easier to have a gun and get what you perfer other than using meaningless words."

"Now still works for me." Richard was getting use to the man and his wit.

"Fine. I want 50 million."

"I don't have 50 million." he said.

"Then you don't have a deal also."

"I can pay you 25."

"Personally that's an insult to me and my business skills. And frankly it's an insult to the girl."

"I don't have the money." his voice grew in a form of rage once again.

"Yes you do. You just won't admit it." he paused for a moment, "whenever you choose to come around make it before December 15. Atlanta. The Varsity. 2 PM. You'll know who I am. Don't bother tracing this call, it's on a secure line." one final moment of silence occured before the young englishman spoke again, "by the way you're a terrible liar."

With that the phone went dead.

'Atlanta?' his mind questioned as he looked over at the calendar, 12/13.

"T-her-sa?" a small sound escaped the tiny figures lips as Theresa walked up to her.

"Hey there. You feeling any better."

"It doesn't hurt as much." she said in a dismal tone.

"I just wanted to see if you were okay."

"Why?"

"Because..." she pondered the multiple answers finally coming to a decision, "I care."

"I'm tired."

"Then get some sleep." Theresa said softly, while the girl reached for her hand.

A slight squeeze tugged on her hand as she watched the angel slip into a peacful rest.

Finally getting up Theresa decided to exit the room as she reached for the knob.

All of a sudden a strange feeling overtook her body.

Shrugging off her natural instincts, she walked on the other side.

All of a sudden a gag found its way around her mouth, and as the fumes intoxicated her body, she fell straight into her attackers arms.
