Home Chapter 1
Ethan was walking down the stars of the Crane mansion.
He looked out the window, and saw a snowy winter day.
He wished he could go outside and enjoy it.
Unfortunately, no way would his family allow that.
Then he heard someone crying downstairs.
Ethan would recognize that voice anywhere, but he never heard it cry in his life.
This person was so happy and uplifting.
He quickly hurried downstairs to her.
“Pilar.” He said in a concerned voice.
She slowly looked up at her employer.
“Yes Ethan.” She tried to get out without crying.
“What's wrong Pilar?” Ethan asked her.
“Nothing Ethan.” Pilar looked away from him.
“Now I know for a fact that something is wrong. Pilar tell me.” Ethan commanded.
“It's none of your business Ethan.” Pilar tried avoid his questions.
“Pilar please tell me.” Ethan tried to keep his voice calm.
Pilar started to sob eve harder.
“It's her birthday today. It's her 24 birthday.” Was all Ethan could manage to understand?
But before Ethan could ask any more questions Pilar ran out into the gardens with tears in her eyes.

Theresa was totally outraged.
She had to take a detour, on her 24th BIRTHDAY.
She was supposed to be headed to France, where Ruthie and Steph were waiting for her.
But no.
She was stuck in some small town because of a freak snowstorm.
She had never even heard of Harmony.
Now she was stuck here.
Then she felt her cell vibrate in her back pocket.
“Hey.” Theresa heard a normal cheerful voice.
“Hey girl.” Theresa replied trying to keep her spirits up.
“Where are you?” she heard Steph's voice in the background.
“I'm stranded in some town called Harmony.” Theresa bitterly told her friends.
“Where's Harmony?” Ruthie asked in her ALWAYS upbeat voice.
“Some place in Maine.” Theresa told her friends.
“Sorry girl, but happy b-day.” Ruthie told her.
“Thanks. I gotta go find somewhere to sleep tonight.” Theresa told her friends.
Then she hung up her cell.
Then all of a sudden reporters and photographers were surrounding her.
`Great just what I need now.' Theresa thought.
“Miss Johnson is it true that you were abandoned? Miss Johnson when is your next line coming out? Theresa is it true your dating Matt Damon?” the questions were endless.
Not even one happy birthday.
After about 20 minutes of countless questions, she finally dodged them all.
Just hoping that she could get out of Harmony ASAP.
