![]() Winter Break Chapter 4
![]() Theresa walked down the steps first.
Which was ironically a first.
She was always last to get ready, but today was different.
She was first inside from the family snowball fight, so she was first to get ready.
She reached the living room.
It would be awhile before her brothers were ready.
And there was no TV to watch at the moment.
The Satellite had not been installed yet.
Theresa decided to take a walk outside or go get a cup of coffee or something.
It would take her brothers awhile to get ready.
She grabbed her new winter coat and headed out the large mansion door.

Ethan walked into the Book Cafe.
He saw Beth, Sheridan, Chad, and Whitney already there.
Kay had just gotten out of bed as he left.
She would be here later.
"Hey!" he heard Beth from behind the counter.
"Are you working today?" he asked.
"No. Just gettin my friends some coffee or something on the house." Beth winked.
"In that case I'll take a latte." Ethan heard Chad speak up.
"Same here." the blue eyed Bennet boy sat down.
"You two are just plain rude." Whitney spoke up. "If your going to take advantage of Beth make sure it's with something good. I'll have double mocha cappinchio." Whitney smiled as Sheridan laughed, and an over worked Beth went to get the drinks.
She knew Sheridan wouldn't take advantage of her.
As Beth came back everyone started to talk about pointless conversations again.
As they had done so many times before.
Like those stupid question games.
-Pick a color: Black or White.
-Black.
-Pick a shape: Circle or square.
-Square
-Look up.
His eyes roamed to the ceiling without the movement of his head.
-Look at you finger nails.
He curled his hand and looked at his nails.
-You are 75% male, 25% female.
The game concluded.
'How pointless.' Ethan thought.
Even though these were his friends.
They were truly good at heart.
And fun to be around 99% of the time.
Ethan continued to blankly stare out the window.
He wanted to go outside and play.
As if he was a child.
Not stay in here and talk.
Just then a small ring brought him out of his daze.
It came from above the door.
It was most likely Kay.
Now he got to see his sister.
But at least he could go outside.
Ethan was just about to wave her over, but then he looked up.
It wasn't Kay.
It was someone else.
Some really hot someone else.

Theresa walked into the Book Cafe as the sign read.
It looked nice.
Definitely not her hangout in Florida, but it was nice.
Decent.
Acceptable.
But the aromas were strong.
The smell was amazing.
It was what she needed.
Especially today if she wanted to stay awake.
Or stay warm.
It was freezing outside.
How could people live here?
She stopped walking for a moment.
Looking for a place the pay for coffee.
It was big.
That was obvious.
She then spotted a counter.
With someone in a green apron.
Eureka.
She casually strode over to the counter with a hint of urgency.
Theresa waited for the waitress or server to stop talking to her friends long enough to notice her.
"Yes may I help you?" the girl said in a perky voice.
"I'll have a white hot chocolate with whipped cream." Theresa ordered.
"A what?" the girl replied.
"A-white-hot-choclate-with-whipped-cream." She instructed.
"I've never heard of that before." the girl replied.
"White hot chocolate is the same thing as hot chocolate, expect it has white chocolate chips." this really is a small town.
"Oh, OK." the girl went to go prepare her drink.
Theresa absorbed her surroundings.
Just then she heard a burst of laughter come from around her.
She saw it was a group of teenagers her age.
One of them whom was gorgeous.
Sandy blonde hair.
Blue eyes.
Amazing body, from what she saw.
No.
She just broke up with Josh about 3 days ago.
No way could she be checking out other guys.
But she was?
What was wrong with her?

"Theresa let's go!" Miguel yelled into his sisters locked door for the millionth time.
Just then Luis walked by and started to laugh.
"What's so funny." an irritated Miguel questioned.
"Theresa left a while ago." he smiled.
"Wait. I've been up here yelling for about half an hour, and now you tell me." Miguel started to get pissed.
"I would have gone on for another hour, but your voice annoys me." Luis continued to grin.
"Well I'm gonna go catch up with her." Miguel turned around.
"You realize that she's been gone for like 30 minutes now, and you know noting in this town." Luis remarked.
He always had to act so smart and mature.
"How bout we go find a park or something and play some football." Luis suggested.
"Luis there's a good six inches of snow on the ground." Miguel shot back.
"Then let's go exploring around this place. No way am I staying cooped up here all day moving boxes." Luis thought of another idea.
He did have a point.
Miguel didn't want to move boxes.
At least until tonight.
"OK. Let's go." Miguel decided to go anyway. Even though Luis would probably get him into some type of trouble.
